Abstract submission

Presentations on all physical and social aspects of snow and ice research are welcome, including, but not limited to, in situ and remote measurement of snow and ice covers, snow ecology, new advances in snow observation technology, and social interactions with snow.

Please submit your 150-300 word abstract via the form below by 1 February 2026. Please refer to this abstract template for abstract formatting guidelines and submit your abstract as a .docx file. All submissions are welcome to include a single figure and figure caption along with the abstract text. All accepted abstracts will be included in the Scientific Program and in the Proceedings of the 82nd Annual Eastern Snow Conference.

All student presentations are eligible for the student awards competitions. Student presenters must identify themselves as a student on the form below, as well as request that their supervisor submit a brief note of support to the Research Committee Chair.

The Joint Conference will offer both plenary and focused sessions. There are a limited number of oral presentations available; the remainder of submissions will be offered a poster presentation. Oral presentations will be limited to 12 minutes with an additional 3 minutes for questions and comments. Poster format guidelines will be provided after 1 May.
