Membership

Regular Individual Membership is open to all individuals interested in the work and objectives of the conference. Our current membership includes scientists, engineers, snow surveyors, technicians, professors, students and professionals involved in operations and maintenance. Today, our members come from Europe, Japan as well as North America.

No application is required, and the conference fee is the membership fee. Individual Memberships include a copy of the Annual ESC Proceedings, inclusion on ESC mailings, and the right to vote and hold office.

NEW!! - Sustaining Membership
The ESC now offers a new membership option! This new membership will allow individuals to obtain a copy of the ESC Conference Proceedings and to maintain their status as a supporting member of the organization, during years when they are unable to attend the annual meeting. The fee for this option will be $30.00 (CA or US) and it is called the "ESC Sustaining Membership".

In order to take advantage of this membership option, just fill out a copy of the ESC Sustaining Membership form and mail it along with a check for $30.00 to Miles Ecclestone (CA) or Derrill Cowing (US). The form should be mailed by the end of June to ensure that sufficient copies of the Conference Proceedings will be printed and available for distribution. If you have any questions regarding this new membership, either email or call Miles or Derrill. Their contact information is on the form.

Corporate Memberships are open to any organization that is interested in snow and ice in any of its forms. Corporate Fees are modest and include discounts for display booths and attendance at the annual ESC meeting.

Corporate Membership in the ESC is available in two categories: Sustaining or Active

Sustaining Corporate Members receive:

  1. One copy of the proceedings
  2. Inclusion of company/agency name in the list of corporate sponsors shown on the cover page of the ESC Proceedings
  3. Placement of company/agency logo and URL on the ESC website

Active Corporate Members receive:

  1. Five copies of the proceedings
  2. Inclusion of company/agency name in the list of corporate sponsors shown on the cover page of the ESC Proceedings
  3. Placement of company/agency logo and URL on the ESC website
  4. Registration for one person to attend the annual meeting
  5. Space for a commercial display at the annual meeting.

Annual Student Paper Competition

Each year the ESC sponsors an Annual Student Paper Competition / Concours des communications d'étudiants and encourages students to submit papers related their research on snow related work. 

Proceedings

Authors presenting papers at the annual ESC meeting can choose to have their papers reviewed if they desire feedback on ways to improve the manuscript prior to publication in our yearly Proceedings of the Eastern Snow Conference.
